Track deployed workers’ attendance across client sites
People you deploy do the hours at someone else’s site. Attendance tracking for staffing agencies in TimeTapIn keeps those start and finish times in your account, against the location where the person actually worked.

Deployed hours arrive in pieces
The worker is at the client. The agency still has to assemble a week of hours from messages, client sheets, and memory.
Start times live in personal messages
A text that says “here” is hard to find on Friday, and it rarely says which client site was meant.
Every client has a different paper habit
One site uses a book, another uses a photo of a timesheet. Your coordinators retype both.
Payroll preparation waits on collection
Hours for people spread across locations have to be gathered before anyone can prepare pay. A missing site holds up the list.
How a deployed shift is recorded
Your QR code is displayed at the client site. The worker does not join the client’s system or install an app.
Display your QR code at each client site
Add the locations where you place people. Each site gets a unique code that you can print and leave where the shift starts.
The worker scans and enters their company PIN
They use a phone camera and the company PIN from your agency. They do not create an account on TimeTapIn.
They select Start or Finish
Start and Finish are stored against that client site, so two placements in one week stay separate.
Your office reviews one attendance list
Coordinators review hours by worker and by site, correct a missed tap, and export site-based Excel reports when preparing payroll.
What the agency office can see
This is your attendance record for people you deploy. It does not sign them into a client’s own timeclock, and a check-in does not rate the work they did.
A code for each client location
Workers can be placed at more than one site. Each scan lands on the site whose code they used.
No app for the worker
There is no installation and no worker login. The company PIN identifies the person.
Optional location check
Location verification is optional per site. When enabled, the phone’s location is checked at check-in and check-out only, not during the shift.
Correct a record before you export
If a finish was missed, a manager can review the attendance and correct it so the hours are usable.
Hours gathered for payroll preparation
Export Excel reports organized by site. TimeTapIn does not pay your workers or file taxes.
A 30-day free pilot
A new company account includes a 30-day free pilot. Add one or two client sites, share company PINs with the people you deploy, and review real shifts before you continue.
Illustrative example
Five people, two client sites
Picture an agency with three people at a warehouse and two at a shop. Each location shows the agency’s QR code. On arrival, each person scans that site’s code, enters their company PIN, and selects Start. At the end of the shift they select Finish. Coordinators open one account and see both sites, then export an Excel file of the hours when they prepare payroll. The times are attendance records. They do not describe how the client rated the shift.
Questions staffing agencies ask
Do deployed workers install an app?
No. They scan the QR code at the client site, enter their company PIN, and select Start or Finish.
Can the same person work at more than one client site?
Yes. Each site has its own code, so hours are stored against the location where they scanned.
Does this replace the client’s timeclock?
No. It records attendance in your TimeTapIn account from the QR code you display. It is not an integration with a client system.
Can I check that the scan happened at the site?
You can turn on optional location verification for a site. It checks the phone’s location at check-in and check-out. It does not track the phone for the rest of the shift.
How should we use the hours for payroll?
Review and, if needed, correct the records, then export site-based Excel reports for payroll preparation. TimeTapIn does not pay salaries or file taxes.
Does a check-in prove the work was done well?
No. It records that the person selected Start or Finish at that site. It is not a quality score or a task list.
