Track working hours across maintenance and landscaping sites
A maintenance or landscaping day is a list of properties, not one workplace. Time tracking for maintenance and landscaping teams has to follow that list: each recurring site gets a QR code, and the hours stay on the property where the work happened.

A day of visits is hard to reconstruct
The crew remembers the route. The timesheet often remembers only the last stop, or none of them.
Several sites, one scribbled sheet
Hours for the morning garden and the afternoon plant room end up on the same piece of paper, or only the last visit gets written down.
Arrival texts do not add up
“On site” in a chat is easy to miss when the van is already at the next property. Later, nobody agrees how long the first stop took.
Recurring sites still need a record
A garden every Tuesday and a service visit every month still need start and finish times if those hours go into payroll preparation.
How a site visit is recorded
The code stays at the property. The crew does not install an app between stops.
Give each recurring site its own QR code
Add the gardens, buildings, and service addresses you return to. Print the code and leave it where the crew starts, such as a gate, shed, or plant room.
Scan and enter the company PIN
At that property the worker scans the code and enters their company PIN. The same person can visit several sites in a day without a new login.
Select Start, then Finish before the next stop
Start marks the beginning of the visit. Finish marks the end. The hours are attributed to that site, not to the rest of the route.
The office reviews the day by site
Managers see who attended which property and for how long. They can correct a missed finish, then export site-based Excel hours for payroll preparation.
What helps a multi-stop crew
You get attendance and working hours per site. The record does not list jobs completed or judge the quality of the visit.
Hours stay on the property
A crew moving between sites scans the code at each one. The time is stored against that site.
No app between stops
Workers use a phone camera and their company PIN. There is nothing to install before the next property.
Optional location check at the site
Turn location verification on only for sites where you want it. When it is on, the phone’s location is checked at check-in and check-out, not throughout the drive.
Fix a missed finish
If the crew left for the next site without tapping Finish, a manager can review and correct that record.
Export hours by site
Download an Excel report organized by site when you prepare payroll. TimeTapIn does not pay staff or file taxes.
A 30-day free pilot
A new company account includes a 30-day free pilot. Add two or three real properties, share company PINs, and see a week of visits before you continue.
Illustrative example
Three properties on a Thursday
Picture a two-person crew with three stops: a garden, a small office plant room, and a courtyard. Each address has its own QR code. At the garden they scan, enter their company PINs, and select Start, then Finish before they drive on. They do the same at the next two sites. In the office, Thursday’s hours are already split by property. A manager exports the Excel report when preparing payroll. The times do not describe what was mowed, serviced, or left unfinished.
Questions from maintenance and landscaping owners
Does the crew need an app for each property?
No. They scan the QR code at that site with a phone camera, enter their company PIN, and select Start or Finish. Nothing is installed.
Can one person record hours at several sites in a day?
Yes. Each site has its own code, so a morning visit and an afternoon visit are stored separately.
Will a check-in show the work that was done?
No. It records attendance and the start or finish time at that site. It does not list tasks or confirm that the work was completed well.
Do I have to turn on location for every garden or building?
No. Location verification is optional per site. When enabled, it checks the phone’s location at check-in and check-out only.
How do the hours get into payroll preparation?
Review working hours by worker and by site, correct a record if needed, and export a site-based Excel file. TimeTapIn does not pay wages or file taxes.
